420 g vehnäjauhoja
1/2 tl suolaa
25 g hienoa sokeria
2 kananmunaa
50 g hiivaa
Liegeläiset vohvelit eli Luikse wafels tai gaufre de Liège ovat herkullinen jälkiruoka, joka sopii erityisen hyvin makean ystäville. Näitä vohveleita voi tarjoilla joko kuumana tai kylmänä, ja ne voidaan täydentää esimerkiksi marjoilla, jäätelöllä tai siirapilla.
1. Aloita siivilöimällä vehnäjauhot kulhoon ja tee jauhojen keskelle kuoppa.
2. Sulata voi ja anna sen jäähtyä huoneenlämpöön.
3. Riko munat toiseen kulhoon, lisää joukkoon jäähtynyt voisula ja hiiva (itse käytin kuivahiivaa, jonka sekoitin jauhoihin). Sekoita ainekset hyvin yhteen. Lisää kuplavesi ja sekoita taas.
4. Kaada jauhojen keskellä olevaan kuoppaan hieno sokeri ja nesteseos. Lisää vielä mausteet ja suola.
5. Vatkaa taikinaa vähintään 10 minuuttia. Taikinan tulisi muistuttaa hieman pullataikinaa.
6. Anna taikinan kohota lämpimässä paikassa 15-30 minuuttia.
7. Sekoita raesokeri taikinan joukkoon ja anna taikinan vetäytyä vielä 5-10 minuuttia.
8. Paista vohveleita vohveliraudassa.
